Gate’s 2nd Winter Contest is here, and this one flips the script. Ever reread something you wrote and thought, “What was I thinking?” That’s exactly what we want. Submit your most gloriously awful piece of writing. The worse it is, the better.

Choose ONE word, Strangers, Promise, Unsaid, or Reflections, and write a 1–2 page narrative inspired by it. This open-ended prompt is designed to spark creativity while keeping storytelling welcoming and accessible to all writers.

“Pens for the Planet” is a contest focused on youth perspectives on the environment, expressed in writing. We can’t wait to read your amazing submissions, of which the top three winners will be published on ReMark's website!
